The Utah Tech University 113th Commencement Ceremony will take place on Friday, May 3, in Greater Zion Stadium on the UT campus. The processional will begin at 6:00 p.m. and the ceremony will start immediately following the processional. There will be one ceremony combined with masters, baccalaureate, and associate graduates.

Greater Zion Stadium Gates open: 5:00 p.m. Guests must be seated by 6:00 p.m.

Graduates Processional line-up: 6:45 p.m at the Gardner Center Plaza

Processional Start time: 6:00 p.m. the ceremony will start directly following the processional.

The Ceremony line-up will take place north of the Gardner Student Center. Please arrive at the line-up location by 5:00 p.m. All participants are required to wear their cap and gown. The Processional will begin at 6:00 p.m. A detailed line-up map will be posted at the bottom of this page. There will not be a rehearsal. Your seating in Greater Zion Stadium is reserved.

If you need to order your new “keeper or standard” caps, hoods, and/or gowns. You can place your order by filling out the form HERE. Please order your items by the end of the day on Thursday, April 4th, 2023. The university pays for the “keeper or standard” gown sets, as listed in the form. If you want to order specialty items (cap, gown, hood, or tassels), faculty and staff are required to purchase these items. Please pick up your order prior to graduation at the North Plaza Building, Office #141, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 pm and 1:30 to 5:00 pm.

University Marshals play a significant role in the Commencement Ceremonies. As a Marshal, you are responsible to lead the graduates from your college into the stadium, and assist them as they graduate from Utah Tech. If you have been selected as a marshal an informational meeting will be held on Thursday, May 2, to outline your responsibilities during commencement. More information will be sent prior to commencement.

Fill out the form to volunteer to usher our graduate’s parents, family, friends, and guests at the stadium. This is a great opportunity to get involved with the ceremony and connect with our graduates guests.
