Remembering the past
Washington County, Kane County, the Arizona Strip, and the Big Muddy region of Nevada have experienced dramatic environmental, population, and cultural change since their founding.
Supported by Utah House Bill 278 (2021), the Heritage Cove Project and Utah Tech University Special Collections and Archives are collecting personal memories of specific locations past and present as part of a celebration of the area. These may include natural/geological places, shops, schools, restaurants, parks, etc. We welcome your written memories, photographs, and more! Should you desire to highlight more than one location, you may donate multiple responses. Thank you for participating.
Participants must be 18 years of age or older and reside in or have previously resided in the forementioned regions. Submissions will end July 31, 2025.
For questions, please contact Trevor Cox at trevor.cox2@utahtech.edu or (435) 879-4552.
These submissions will be made publicly available and accessible via Utah Tech University Special Collections and Archives and may be used for exhibits, historical research, or other purposes.
