Round 1: VTUAL AUDITIONS:

WINNERS
There will be one winning act and a runner up in each category — determined through scoring criteria that combines judges scores, audience votes, and donations.
RULES AND ELIGIBILITY
- Each member of the act must currently reside in Washington County.
- Only one video submission is allowed per act, and individuals may only compete it one act per year.
- Acts with three or more members will be automatically assigned to the “Groups” Category.
- We request that all acts be family friendly and appropriate for all ages.
- No additions, substitutions, or changes to members of the act will be permitted.
- Accompaniment type (acapella, live, or pre-recorded) must remain consistent for all rounds.
- Acts must maintain the same genre of talent throughout all competition rounds.
- Fraternizing with the Dixie’s Got Talent judges is not allowed.
- Each contestant, chaperone, director, coach, accompanist, parent, or individual involved with Dixie’s Got Talent must comply with the Utah Tech University Code of Conduct. Which includes respecting the audition process, rehearsal requirements, performance spaces, DGT staff, DGT judges, fellow contestants, sponsors, etc.
- In the event an act is disqualified prior to the live finale, the next highest scoring audition will be offered the opportunity to compete in that slot.
- Dixie’s Got Talent reserves the right to maintain program integrity (including the removal or disqualification of competitors) at any point during the competition.
- Acts who fail to comply with DGT standards, eligibility requirements, timely submission, or rehearsal participation, may face disqualification.

AUDITION FORM
- Complete all required fields in the audition form.
- Upload your video file where indicated (not to exceed 2 minutes in length)
SUBMIT YOUR AUDITION VIDEO
Please use the following format to submit your audition video.
- Introduce yourself by stating your name/group name, the talent type, and the title of your piece.
- Film your prepared audition piece in one complete take.
- Your entire video audition (including your introduction) must be no longer than 2 minutes.
- Videos will be stopped automatically at the 2:00 minute mark.
- Video files should be .mp4 or.mov for optimal viewing
Please note: *Submissions with auto-tune, A.I. enhancement, or any post editing will automatically be disqualified.
Post edits include, but are not limited to, video cuts, digital transitions, audio adjustments, color enhancements, captions, overlays, filters, etc.
AUDITION/PARTICIPATION FEE
$20.00 per act

The 2025 DGT Finale will feature the top acts from each category in a live stage performance.

The 2025 DGT Finale is held in conjunction with City of St. George Dixie Days
Finale Tickets will be available for purchase beginning August 15 at 9 am

ROUND 2: CALLBACK AUDITION (In person)
AUDITION DAY (Callbacks)
- Each act will be pre-assigned an audition time, and should arrive 15 minutes prior.
- Upon arrival, the act representative should immediately check-in with a member of the Dixie’s Got Talent Production Team.
- Each participant is required to complete a waiver form, and all participants under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Groups may request a copy of the waiver prior to the callback auditions to ensure they are fully signed and eligible prior to check in.
- If an act requires special set-up or preparation, it should be able to be completed in 1 minute or less.
- Acts requiring longer or more extensive set-up (bands, etc.) must coordinate this need with a DGT staff member at the time of their callback invitation.
- Each act that will use a backtrack or minus track, should assure it is downloaded to their device and properly cued.
- A piano, stool, audio sound system, and 2 microphones will be provided for call back audition participants.
- The callback audition (including an introduction) should be two minutes or less.
