Why no more Dmail and Dixie Workspace for Education?
Google changed its policy and no longer offers free unlimited storage for universities. Because of this change we are no longer able to offer free unlimited access to Google services for everyone. Because of the name change and the space restrictions, we decided to create a new Google Workspace for Utah Tech. We are not moving old data to stay under the data quota. The new service will have the Utah Tech name. One other benefit for moving is that it will participate in the Utah Tech single sign on service, making it easier for students and employees to access the services.
What do you need to do?
All users will need to move their data. Current students and employees need to move their data to the new Utah Tech Google Workspace. Utah Tech email can be accessed at https://mail.utahtech.edu. Former students and employees will need to download their data or it will be deleted.
