President's Cabinet

Presidential Initiatives Coordinator

Overview: The role of this position is to aid the Student Body President in their initiatives they have set out during their term. This is a “ other duties as assigned” type of role.

Director of Code Red

Overview: The role of the Director of Code Red is to oversee the “Code Red” team that consists of all the volunteer students in UTSA. The Director oversees the recruitment and the retention of these members. It is the person’s responsibility to ensure these students feel valued, utilized and important to UTSA as a whole because they make the organization successful.

Academic Senate

Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Academics

Overview: The Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Academics maintains workflow by taking minutes at the weekly Student Senate meetings and manages communication within the Senate.

Senator

Overview: Senators represent declared majors at Utah Tech University. Senators also serve as a liaison between the student body and faculty. As such, it is imperative that the representing senator maintains good rapport with their department faculty. Senators allocate a portion of student fees by writing and investigating bills presented to the Senate on behalf of the students’ academic pursuits.

Clubs & Organizations

Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Clubs and Organizations

Overview: The Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Clubs & Organizations maintains workflow by taking minutes at the weekly Club Council meetings and manages communication with the Club Council and the Club Representatives.

 

Club Representative

Overview: Club Representatives sit on the Club Council and they represent specific clubs on campus. Club Representatives make decisions concerning issues and bills regarding clubs that come before the Club Council.

Marketing

Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Marketing

Overview: The Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Marketing maintains workflow by taking minutes at marketing meetings and managing communication with the VPM & Marketing Branch members. The Administrative Assistant attends weekly Marketing meetings, other meetings when invited by the VPM, all organization retreats, and any other organization sponsored event when assigned.

Graphic Design Manager

Overview: The Graphic Design Manager designs and prints any posters, banners, flyers, graphics, and any other digital or print marketing material used to promote UTSA activities and sponsored events. *Adobe Creative Suite experience needed*

Marketing Manager

Overview: The Marketing Manager serves as a project manager for the Marketing Branch of UTSA, overseeing the creative development and execution of marketing campaigns for events or initiatives as assigned by the Vice President of Marketing.

Social Media Manager

Overview: The Social Media Manager uses social media to market, brand, educate, and create engagement for UTSA and all sponsored events. UTSA strives to create an engaging social media presence with students of Utah Tech and others.

Photographer/Content Creator

– Full In State Tuition stipend per semester

Overview: Photographer/Content Creator uses videography and photography to create content for UTSA marketing purposes through the use of promotional and recap videos, features of clubs and other student organizations, and other materials for UTSA sponsored events.

Service

Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Service

Overview: The Service Administrative Assistant maintains workflow by taking minutes at the weekly Service Council meetings, manages service hours from events and communication through the Service Department.

Health and Lifestyle Service Leader
– 1 position available
– 10 hours per week
– 50% In State Tuition per semester
– 1 year commitment required

Overview: This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining a relationship with assigned community partners and for attending regular meetings with these organizations to stay current on their volunteer needs. This Service Leader is responsible for planning and carrying out service projects for Utah Tech students. Additional responsibilities include helping with Campus to Community, and supporting the other organizations within Student Government.

Youth Support Service Leader
– 1 position available
– 10 hours per week
– 50% In State Tuition per semester
– 1 year commitment required

Alternative Breaks Coordinator

– 10 hours per week
– 50% In State Tuition per semester
– 1 year commitment required

Overview: The Alternative Breaks Coordinator is primarily responsible for the planning and execution of the fall and spring break humanitarian trips.
This position will select the location and theme for each trip, host informational meetings, recruit students to participate in the humanitarian trips, and go on the trip as the student leader. In addition, they are responsible for putting together fundraising projects throughout the semester to reduce the cost of travel and expenditures for students. Some summer hours will be required for this position.

Student Life

Overview: The Student Life Administrative Assistant maintains workflow by taking minutes at the weekly Student Life meetings, manages service hours from events and communication through the Student Life Department.

Director of Traditions

Overview: The Director of Traditions of the Student Life (SL) Branch is responsible to aid in the direction of the three pageants held at Utah Tech University – Miss Utah Tech State, Mr. Utah Tech, and Trailblazer Queen, as well as other duties as assigned

Director of Live Events

Overview: The Director of Live Entertainment is responsible for planning live entertainment events including one or more installments of the Live & Local series each semester. This position is responsible for bringing entertainment on campus to enhance student involvement at UTSA activities.

Director of Social Events

Overview: The Director of Social Events of the Student Life (SL) Branch is responsible for leading a team for the planning of dances, other Wednesday activities, and some traditional events.

Director of Entertainment Events

Overview: The Director of Entertainment Events of the Student Life (SL) Branch is responsible to promote involvement at Utah Tech University through carnivals, Wednesday activities and other opportunities to engage.

STAMPEDE

Stampede Operations Manager
– 1 position available
– 20 hours per week
– Full In State Tuition stipend per semester
– 1 year commitment required

Overview: The Stampede Operations Manager is over all the logistics that go into planning, creating and maintaining the hype before, during and after athletic games. This includes submitting marketing requests, reserving rooms/locations on campus, brainstorming game day themes, purchasing giveaway items, and helping the Stampede President with any other task needed. This individual must be organized as well as be able to lead to a committee.

Stampede Social Media Manager

– 20 hours per week
– Full In State Tuition stipend per semester
– 1 year commitment required

Overview: The Stampede Social Media Manager must have the skills to create/use video and picture content for the Stampede social media account(s). Content must be statistically informative and frequently encompassing of ALL sports at Utah Tech University. This individual must also be able to lead a committee.

Overview: The Administrative Assistant to the Stampede President maintains workflow by taking minutes at Stampede meetings and managing communication with the Social Media Manager and Operations Manager.
