In the app you will find the collection of 45 traditions of Dixie which include participating in annual events, visiting historic places, and other unique parts of Dixie’s History that has built it into the strong institution it is today. By participating and becoming a Dixie Tradition Keeper you will value the rich history and take pride as future alumni. Becoming a Dixie Tradition Keeper is simple. Begin participating in DSU Traditions!

To fulfill the traditions, all you have to do is follow the instructions in the caption of each tradition pages and snap your own photo as you participate in the events or places listed. Everyone loves making lasting memories and taking pictures, so it’ll be a blast becoming a Tradition Keeper! It’s as simple as that! It is these traditions that have made Dixie State University the school it is today, and they keep the Dixie Spirit alive and well. With the help of the pictures you take and the memories you make, we hope you will always keep Dixie close to your heart!

Upload your photo on the app to the correct tradition "assignment" or get them checked off in the print format.

Online:
Click on the module tab and upload your favorite tradition photos to the correct corresponding traditions. Once uploaded, your photos will be approved and you will have completed that tradition. Once you have reached 25, 35, or 45 traditions, you will receive a free gift for completing each level!

Picture Book:
Watch for an SAA booth in which you can bring your book and proof of picture to. Show an SAA member the proof you attended an event, and they will stamp that tradition!

The various levels are:
The Woodward: 25 Traditions (The first original Dixie campus off Main Street!) – Free DSU Sunglasses
The 700 Club: 35 Traditions (The current Dixie campus off 700 East!) – Free DSU Earbuds
The Dixie Elite: 45 Traditions (Title gained after completing traditions!) – Free DSU Water Bottle, vinyl, and Tradition Keeper Medallion.

Get rewarded for participating in traditions and events at DSU!

Once you have completed a level, it will show in the app you have completed them. You will be notified via message by the DSU Student Alumni that your prize is available for you to pick it up at the Alumni Office!
