Booths & Activities

Build a Bison

Stuff our custom Brooks the Bison mascot at our Build-a-Bison Workshop. Available to the first 250 participants.

Collect the Annual Ornament

President & First Lady Williams are giving away this year’s annual ornament to the first 500 attendees. Don’t miss your chance to add to your collection.

Light the Tree

Did someone say 40-foot light pole tree? We are lighting the tree at 6 p.m. in the roundabout at the heart of campus. Celebrate the start of the season as we turn on the lights for all to see.

Carriage Rides

Enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides down palm street and through the festive holiday lights.

Tractor Rides

Enjoy tractor rides around campus.

Ginger Bread Decorating

Come and decorate ginger bread cookies with the Utah Tech University Alumni Association.

Ornament Making

Make your own holiday ornaments at our ornament making booth.

Photo Booths

Santa and Mrs. Clause are back. Have you been good this year? Get your photo with Santa Clause and on your way stop by Whoville, where the grinch will be available for photos!

5:00 p.m.–Activities open and performances start.

5:55 p.m.– Reading of the Trailblazer Tree Lighting Proclamation by Santa Clause.

6:00 p.m.– Lighting of the Trailblazer Tree

8:00 p.m.– Tree Lighting Celebration Ends

Who is invited?

Anyone can join us for our celebration. There is something there for everyone.

All supplies are first come first served.

Where is the event located?

The festivities take place on Trailblazer Boulevard, just off of University Avenue (700 E, 300 S). The tree is located in the center of the roundabout.


Is there a cost?

No. All the activities and booths are free of charge!


Parking is open anywhere on campus. However the closest lot is located just off of Trailblazer Boulevard. The round-a-bout will be closed for the event.
