7:30 a.m. – Students arrive at assignment locations
9:00 a.m. – Conference starts
5:00 p.m. -Conference ends
6:30 p.m. – Group dinner location for those interested will be at the Hall Pass at the Gateway.
Friday, September 30, 2022
7:30 a.m.– Booth and Entrance Staff In Place
8:30 a.m. – Conference starts
3:00 p.m.– Conference ends
3:30 p.m. – Bus returns to St. George. Dinner will be provided on the bus.
Travel Details
Hotels
We are excited about the upcoming trip to the Silicon Slopes Summit. For those who requested a block book room you have been emailed a link to reserve your hotel room for the conference September 28th-30th.We have a large group attending, so we are needing to stay at two hotels the Hyatt Place and the Marriott.
We have secured a discounted group rate that will auto populate with the link sent directly to your email. Per travel policy you will need to book your own room and then be reimbursed via the travel procedure. Please reach out to Sherri Phillips regarding travel policy and questions.
Meals
Travel
Two buses will be provided for attendees who are traveling up from Utah Tech. This bus includes all students and any interested faculty or staff.
The buses will leave from the Holland Parking Lot (Lot M) at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28. Please arrive 15 minutes early with all of your luggage.
The bus will return to St. George on Friday, September 30 at 3:30 p.m. Dinner will be provided on the bus.
Conference Tickets
Conference Tickets will be distributed directly to your email. Please keep an eye out for an email from Silicon Slopes that includes your Conference Ticket.
Travel Policies
All Travel will follow the university travel policies and procedures. Attendees are responsible for filling out their own TA’s as well as keeping track of their expenses.
What to Bring
University employees are encouraged to bring/wear Utah Tech University apparel. T-shirts, polos, pins etc..
Although we are not coordinating any apparel, the goal is to encourage people to ask questions.
Don’t forget your business cards and name tag!
Student Attendee Information
Wednesday, September 28 –30, 2022
We are excited to meet all of the Utah Tech University (UT) Students who have been invited to represent our University at Silicon Slopes. As part of our sponsorship UT will host a booth in the center of the conference as well as have the opportunity to welcome attendees as they enter the arena. Students will also volunteer with Silicon Slopes and be able to attend conference sessions.
Hotels
Your hotel has been booked and room assignments completed. You will receive an email directly regarding your hotel details.
Meals
Your meals will be provided throughout the conference.
A group reservation has been made at the Hall Pass in the Gateway for Thursday, September 29 at 6:30 p.m. this will include faculty, staff, and students

Our Sponsorship
Booth, Suite, & Welcome Area
We are excited to be a part of Silicon Slopes. As part of Utah Tech’s team we wanted to give you an update on what we are doing during our time at the Summit.
Our Booth
Invite alumni, partners, those with questions, and honestly anyone to come to our booth and collect some SWAG. We will have gifts for alumni, interactive games created by the engineering department, as well as SWAG for all.
The booth will serve as our home base for meeting with people and showcasing our university!
Outside Vivint
We have the opportunity to welcome attendees and be one of the first groups they see as they enter the venue. The first day we are handing out fresh and homemade Brookie Cookies, and the second day Utah Tech SWAG!
Executive Suite
One of the primary goals for the conference is to create connections.
As part of our sponsorship, we have been given a VIP Suite. Our plan is to utilize the suite to connect with companies, businesses, and potential partners.
President Williams, Dr. Wayne Provost, and Jeff Stewart will spend their time at this location. Each Utah Tech Employee who is attending Silicon slopes will be given Seven “tickets” to invite individuals to the Suite to speak with any of suite reps, watch a session, and/or pick up Utah Tech SWAG.
You will receive your tickets at the Thursday morning meeting. Along with additional details you will need.
