113th Commencement Ceremony

Utah Tech is excited to announce we will be hosting the 113th Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 3, 2024, in Greater Zion Stadium.

 

Congratulations, Class of 2024, on accomplishing your academic goals.  The University is dedicated to honoring you and recognizing your achievements during our 113th commencement exercises.

We will have an in-person ceremony on Friday, May 3, 2024, in Greater Zion Stadium the processional will start at 6 p.m.

There will be one ceremony combined with masters, baccalaureate, and associate graduates. The ceremony will not be ticketed and face coverings are optional.

Important Update: Washington County announced they will be hosting the Iron Man World Championships the week of May 3.

This event brings thousands of people from all over the world to St. George Utah.

Students who have family traveling into town for the commencement ceremony should begin making travel arrangements as soon as possible.

FREQUENTLY ASKED COMMENCEMENT QUESTIONS

What is the plan for Commencement?

The Utah Tech University 113th Commencement Ceremony will take place on Friday, May 3, in Greater Zion Stadium on the UT campus. The processional will begin at 6:00 p.m. and the ceremony will start immediately following the processional. There will be one ceremony combined with masters, baccalaureate and associate graduates.

Greater Zion Stadium Gates open: 5:00 p.m. Guests must be seated by 6:00 p.m.

Graduates Processional line-up: 5:00 p.m. at the Gardner Center Plaza

Processional Start time: 6:00 p.m. the ceremony will start directly following the processional.

Do I need to RSVP to participate in Commencement?

No. Graduates were asked to RSVP in their graduation application, however you are still eligible to walk and your space in the 2024 Commencement Ceremony is reserved.

When will I receive my diploma?

Yes. Diplomas will be mailed out after graduation requirements have been verified.

During the ceremony you will receive a diploma cover.

Will I receive my cap, gown, honors regalia, etc.?

Caps, gowns, honors stoles, and cords will be available at the Grad Fair on May 2 & 3, 2024, where all graduating students also will receive a gift from the UT Alumni Association, enjoy snacks, and have the opportunity to purchase Utah Tech memorabilia from the Campus Store booth and join the Alumni Association.

Do my family members need tickets to attend Commencement?

No. Commencement will not be a ticketed event this year.

Are college receptions and other associated banquets and celebrations being held?

Yes. College receptions will be held May 1 and 2nd. Details specific to your college’s reception will be sent to your email account.

Who is invited to walk in the 113th Commencement Ceremony?

Students who graduated with an associate, baccalaureate, or master’s degree in  summer and fall of 2023, and spring or summer of 2024 are invited to walk in the 2024 Commencement Ceremony.
